Welcome to the Aviation English Assessment

This test simulates the international English standards used by pilots and air traffic controllers for international operations. The assessment evaluates six language skills across realistic aviation scenarios.

Practice Test Only: This is an unofficial practice assessment. Official aviation English certification requires an authorized examiner. Results give an indication of your level but are not official.

How your result is calculated

  1. Multiple-choice answers (Listening & Vocabulary stages) are graded automatically based on right/wrong answers.
  2. Your audio recordings (Interview, Picture Description, Emergency Scenarios) are transcribed and scored automatically by AI on the ICAO criteria (pronunciation is not scored); no person reviews the result.
  3. Once the admin grading is complete, your final aviation English level will be sent to your email address. Make sure your email is correct.
